Excellent video & accurate description of weather by "bmmaro". A professional can assess the wind speed from the sea state taking fetch, duration, depth of water, weather-going tide, etc.into account. I've been at sea for over 40 years!

I did actually seen plenty of waves, We crossed the Irish Sea in a 300 ton containership the "Goodwill Trader" during a storm (force 11) in 1973, I never seen waves like it!

Though the waves don't seem impressive, that's because they are pretty long waves. The wind though is very strong. I'd say 8 beaufort, due to the swell and teh crest onth waes. Nice video! Keep them coming ...
