"The 9 vs The Fallen Lords" is a map created by Souly (Onyx), where you control the nine Avataras in a direct conflict with the Fallen Lords and their minions - a great lot of them.
Basically, it's a kind of a "Mazzarin's Demise" only, in a way, more RPG, so to say.
The sixth character to be introduced is Nelarn, the Avatara of Stars(?).
Nelarn manages to be an extreme mixture between weakness and power. On one hand, he stands amongst the least resilient characters, being easy to kill and useless at close combat. His ranged attack, although weak, is useful for irregular terrain, having a long range and overpassing obstacles like cliffs or hills, which other ranged attacks do not.
On the other hand, Nelarn stands amongst the Avatara who wield the most spectacular and powerful spells - he has three, and the three of them are extremely powerful and can be real lifesavers in sticky situations.
Just be sure to use them properly!
i always liked how interesting the background story and characters were in the myth series, and yet they didnt feel the need to explore every detail up close, it lends a sense of aloofness that is refreshing and cool about myth, as if you really entered into a world that had been getting along just fine before you showed up. this day and age not that many people are interesting in the mystery of not knowing every little detail.

Nelarn is useless. Don't know if he or Numeril is more pathetic.

Hmm, not much to say about Nelarn... His three spells are very useful (although the last one takes quite long time to work), but he's in fact a lousy close-combatant. Anyway, using him wisely will be the key to victory!
