Nothing breaks the ice better than sharing a bite of food. The full-fledged, 3 months old lovebird is the only one that hatched from its mama bird's first cluster of eggs. The four baby lovebirds are hatched from the mother bird's second cluster of eggs, and have not seen their older sibling before. I brought the 3 weeks old lovebird to the babies' morning feeding and see how it might react. It was a little shy at first, but warmed up quickly to the babies. Now all five lovebirds sleep and eat together. The oldest one preens its younger siblings often and let them sleep snuggly around it. The whistling in the middle of the video is made by a cockatiel practicing its Do Re Mi.

  • Hi ARAMAM1973, I left a message in your inbox :)

  • whats that baby food?

Cause my bird has 4 eggs right now Idk what to feed them after a day of hatching

  • I let the parent birds feed the babies after the eggs are hatched. I mixed a little bit of cooked egg york in their food while they are nursing their babies. Give them a cottle bone too. The babies are pulled out from the nest when they are about 2-3 weeks old, when their eyes are opened. It's extremely tricky to try and handfeed newborn baby birds, unless one's an experienced breeder. I feed them with Katee's Exact Hand-Feeding Formula.

  • so cute...what a family

  • the challenge now is to come up with a good naming system...
