so will incoming phone calls still show up if you closed the phone app?

Nice.
I've had an iphone for about two weeks. I do not have a unlimited data plan and am not supposed to use any apps while not linked to my home wifi.
Does having apps runnings in the background use data from the 3G network and will I see this on my bill?

@hogo1 Each app is different, but I'm pretty sure that some background apps might go out to the web to check things. Not 100% sure on that, but probably.
