@batmanlooksgood I thought the director did a good job with his inclusion of various supposed historical facts as with some hearsay facts which made it quite interesting. Basing all of this around a love story at least to me was extremely artistic in a sense of building the story in reaching its climax. One of the more touching parts of the movie would be the violinists on the deck playing as long as they could amongst the kaos that was taking place.

I'm in my 50's and have loved the Titanic story all my life and I'm glad to be able to remember this great ship 100 years after it sank.It is a beautiful ship even when sleeping as it is now. Stupid Human error put the Titanic in its final resting place!

Titanic was 9/11 of its' day. Many "titans" of finance against establishing a central bank,th FED, were aboard like John Astor. The FED, after many failed attempts and been kicked out of the country twice, was reestablished the following year 1913. They looted and manipulated the finances of the US and brought in '29depression Why? Its' charter was coming up for renewal and they created chaos- people said "Save Us" like they are now and did on 9/11..we got Patriot Act and gave up our rights.

@sacramentolove What would have made a bigger impact on the Jack/Rose spin is if they had actually found a real love affair..BUT since the majority of the survivors are all passed on...

@batmanlooksgood Actually, the ship will be gone in another century, the scientists said so. And James Cameron put Jack and Rose in the movie because the Titanic was a disaster, and he thought that adding a love story would go perfect.
