Beautiful piece of work. Chekhov has definitely captured my attention since I performed in "Uncle Vanya". The texture of this piece and the performances are very tasteful.

I believe that Chekhov is one of the best ten writers ever, to give a figure, and it feels wonderful to see him portrayed this way. I would love to see this movie, and also a movie about a similarly mighty writer, my countrywoman Rosalía de Castro.

This is a truly beautiful film. The cinematography and direction are magnificent. Ron Bottitta lives and breathes as Chekhov. He and his beautiful co-star, Gillian, keep us in suspense throughout the film. They convey a revealing story,uncover secrets, and bring us closer to the great mind of the late playwright Anton Chekhov. Jovanka Bach has written a masterpiece!
