i think the list u made is only focusing on what just ur views are on.you have to look more in depth in the musicians we love.you only rate ur favourites cuz of how much of an icon they made themselves.take jackwhite and Randy Rhoads.The media says jack white is better just because he can make catchy songs but he might not have the theory and playing capabilities that randy has.u have to focus on what these people can do with the guitar then what they can make the media think of them.

I kinda agreed with you. The Page quote it's true, but, I would never think of Hendrix saying "I am the greatest guitarist ever", and in MY opinion Andrés Segovia is the greatest ever, and close secong is Page.
Page has always been so different and creative, he made a fusion between classical music and hard rock, wrote some of the greatest songs ever, and I think that he is one of the greatest rock musicians that has ever walked on earth. Just my opinion.
