Stop defending Obama. I voted for him, but this is a disgrace. It's above and beyond Democrats versus Republicans. Both parties were complicit in this destruction of our core civil liberties -- NDAA endangers journalists, protesters, and anyone who has a reason to speak out against the rising tide of pointless government power over the people.

EDIT: Also most definitely applies to American citizens. As Salon columnist and constitutional lawyer Glenn Greenwald explained: "Myth #3: U.S. citizens are exempted from this new bill: This is simply false, at least when expressed so definitively and without caveats. The bill is purposely muddled on this issue which is what is enabling the falsehood."

I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Nobody is talking about this. The media is acting as if we didn't just have the very foundation of our country destroyed. I have never been more in fear of our government than I am today. Legal assassination of American citizens without due process.If there is real threat and cause to arrest and detain an American citizen (or any citizen for that matter)  then why wouldn't they need to prove it? America had died and no one attended the funeral.
