Is it seriously that expensive for personalized plates in the UK? In Michigan it just costs an extra $30... I don't have them but I don't consider it a massive waste of money, $30 isn't too much for an amusing novelty on your car.

@Vault101Reject no not that at all. when i said an investment i meant the dictionary definition of the word ... ie a property or another possession acquired for future financial return or benefit. so, more often than not, a personalised plate makes money if/when you resell. there are online dictionaries if that helps you with this ...
