  • I read somewhere that lillith is the name of a monster in jewish folklore. Do you think that's where the name comes from

  • @JerryBeansMan128 Yes. There is an episode in which a character (I think its the pale guy on the plane when she is flying to seattle to ask Frasier for another child) mentions that she shares her name with a demon goddess. It seems pretty likely that the link was intentional by the writers

  • Maris sure does sound weird. lol. I think that you could only find a "Maris" in a horror film after some of the ways they describe her on the show lol.

  • Maris is a ghost

  • @JerryBeansMan128 lilith is supposedly the first woman before eve, but she refused to be less equal to a man, so she went down to the underworld and married satan, people now call her a demon, personally i think shes one cool lady!

  • I image a young Karen from Will and Grace as Maris.

  • @funnyhuuny90 I always imagined Maris in black-and-white. For some reason I can't really picture her in color, and when I try she always looks vaguely like a super-exaggerated stick-figure-skinny cartoon of one of those femme fatales from old noir movies, rather than a real life woman.

  • I honestly think that Maris would have borne too close a resemblance to Lilith.

Then again, "What do The Sixth Sense and A Beautiful Mind have in common?"

  • @n5057094

    thanks i'd forgotten about that

  • @richcoolerearth

I'll admit that often true. I can certainly think of a couple of people like that! But the fact is that when newcomers watch frasier their reaction is just like peter griffin's "wow he really is a well spoken man". But frasier's much more then that, he and the other characters are hilarious. But if frasier fans keep giving of this impression that "frasier" is for intellectuals only then newcomers will never be able to appreciate or watch "frasier" because "it's for snobs" .

  • @sologratia1 i imagine her as Regan in the "Excorist"

  • @cwalkmax thought you got rick rolled for a sec, eh?
