I agree with you, kids today should know about Joy Division, Bauhaus and more. I feel sorry for them because they're missing out on so much! Not to even mention that they're kind of ignoring the whole damn base of the very lifestyle they're pursuing.

I'm 50 and remember when Bauhaus was around and Goths were people in history lessons who had attacked the Roman Empire. We punks claimed Bauhaus, Siouxsie and Dave Vanian before a music journo had a slow day and invented a new genre. We can all enjoy good music without labels! Cheers.

I said I'm not comparing god to anything, because I know that to some people he is very important and bigger than anything else. I'm not that religious myself but oh well. :) Peace.

bro god is not something or a thing to compare or try to describe , our brains is limited and we just cant imagine at all whats GOD , us as a muslims we believe in god by his words QORAN and everything around us show us everyday proofs of god ..i just hate how people just living their lifes like nobody bussiness, forgetten about god ....peace man i dont mean to hate or flame sry

I don't think that every kid doesn't know them, they simply devoured the latter artists like Marylin Manson or Linkin Park without knowing the basic elements like Bauhaus, The Cure, Joy Division, Iggy Pop, Simple Minds... I'm 26 and I love all of them though ;)

To each of their own I guess. You should however reconsider what you just said: how would you feel if someone called god pathetic? I'm not comparing god to music, just saying tolerance works both ways.
