How difficult would it be to upgrade this with faster speed and digital proportional control using decent quality rc hobby parts to replace the low performance toy parts? The great thing about toys such as this is that they look much better than the hobby cars. The bad thing is they are slow and have poor steering.

@XanaduZune You'd basically want to just buy a hobby-grade RC car, then put this one's body on it. However, there are some pretty detailed RC bodies out there that would be even better to work with because they're significantly lighter and more durable.
