The towers were graduated 32 times stronger in load bearing capacity at the bottom 8 floors than the top 8 floors. All modern structural engineering of low mid and high rise buildings is at least five times over engineered its actual load bearing capacity. The engineers that made these towers have larger claims. Especially on the South Tower, where 50-odd stories of the central core structure were left standing shortly after the main collapse. This would fit pancaking to a T. Also, never discount what determined human beings can do.

@Nater245689 Which makes more sense when two 1/4 mile high buildings blast outward to dust within 1 second of full gravitational acceleration? Demolition which does turn buildings to dust and piles or cavemen in the Himalayas, a plot on a scale much larger and more difficult than fooling security in the towers. Start adding up the flaws then do a unified probability anaysis. The cavemen are in the billions of trillions to one odds area, the demolition is extrememly probable.

@MrBlemph I'm pretty skeptical of the "controlled demolition" theories, but I can say for certain that your theory is absolutely a non-starter. The scale of such an operation would be huge and could only be carried out with a lot of people and security clearance to get into any areas of the building necessary.

@MrBlemph Probably because the person in charge of security up until just a few months before 911 was Marvin Bush. George's brother.... And I'd like to see anybody without clearance go plant explosives on every floor and every beam, without getting noticed by security. The security in those buildings was very good, especially in WTC who housed the CIA, SEC and dozens of other government agencies.
