As the solo Act WINNER of "Proof is in the Pudding", I played Alice Cooper's Annual "Christmas Pudding" at the Dodge Theatre. Here is my commentary: Notable points to watch for in the video..
0:00 - I muted the sound when I edited the video. DON'T TURN IT UP.

0:54 - Guitar sounded boomy and saw that my bass EQ on the guitar was accidently all the way up. So I fixed it.

1:58 - Put in my ear monitor. I noticed I didn't have it in right when I started playing but couldn't just stop and put it in. I actually kind of enjoyed hearing the sound echo off of the walls of the Dodge. Was surreal.

2:51 - I start building the Bridge loop. The loop consist of 3 guitar parts, drum beat, and bass line.

3:57 - Someone in the audience hoots as I'm laying the bass line and gets me a little fired up to rock! Whoever that was, THANKS!

4:22 - Camara backs out to show the full theatre! Every time I see this part of the video I get a little overwhelmed all over again!

5:09 - Loud honk/feedback sound NOT CAUSED BY ME! It was something backstage.

5:22 - I use the cool infered

5:28 - The hooting and hollering are from people i don't even know sitting around the camera.

5:50 - Murray Sawchuck the MC comes out to save me from the awkward silence. It was funny, but they kept the spotlight on me and the stage hands didn't come out to help me so I was just standing there. ha. Murray did a awesome job covering by talking about my pedal board I designed and built.

  • Very original talent and a great tune. I enjoyed your performance at the show. Good luck to you.

  • Thank you so much. I had a great time. This was a first for me as a solo artist to perform in front of 4000 people. I was more nervous than i appeared.

  • Micah, what an incredible performance. I always knew from the days I first heard you at Into the Bean Coffee House that you had a special gift for performing... especially for integrating such technology into your performance of beautiful music and maintaining a cool composure - in this case while performing in front of 4000 people! Great job and I wish you all the best! I am glad I searched for you to see what you were up to these days. "Midnight" is great.

  • Micah, I'm glad you posted this as we were getting all of our gear out of the way when you were performing and I missed most of it. You rock man! It was great getting to know you backstage. Hopefully we can do another show together.

  • MICAH!!! You rocked it! Wish i could have been there to witness it... SO PROUD of you :)
