WTAE 4 News Open (May, 1989)

This must have been the first week of this news open/logo. This was taped off of a mini-series called 'War and Rememberance'--The early episodes have the old yellow-orange thick '4' with the stripes. This newscast was recorded after the final installment of that series.

WTAE debuts it's brand new set at 5PM today (9-4-07)! WPXI-TV 11 will also debut a new set this month when they leave Television Hill for their new facilities. Just in time for their 50th anniversary.

FYI: The PG reported that WPXI will air a 50th Anniversary special Sept 22 at 10 PM.
