@thomaserossi Oh for sure. Like on the three major political party, it's "Vote liberal corporatist, super socialist, or liberals that want to take rights away with respect to your personal life." On the bright side, MLA's do a tad more for their area, so even though on a federal level I vote conservative because the other parties screw the West in favour of Quebec and Ontario, I hate my formerly Conservative MLA. I voted Green. At least they're not as bad as the NDP!

@beigelycheenut - Canada has a "strong party" system and it's a decidedly Leftist country. Strong party systems become sounding boards from group think and wise elites. Read the book "What's Left?" and you'll find the Labor Party and Unions in the UK is an Ultra-Leftist, Marxist party which is wholly misogynistic.Compare this to the "evil right-wingers" in America where the "weak party" system allows for individuals to run against the party itself, as we're seeing in the Republican Primary now.

@wengete - Conservatives in America and England were always working to conserve our God given rights. It has no comparison to any other group.

Sowell and Buckley had very similar views. Buckley was not a liberal according to today's use of the word.
-
I agree.... I hate how the twisted the labels of "Conservative" and "Liberal". Both are misused in today's political society.
-
We are all liberals. Who isn't for liberty? Get the label right people.
-
One thing that was great about this is that even though Buckley was a liberal, he's intelligent enough to follow Sowell's sorting logic and not throwing up defense shields at the implications.
-
I think if we locked Sowell and Buckley in a room for a week, Buckley would come out cured of his liberalism, lol.
