Jake decided that he didnt want to jump high enough or wide enough to clear with anymore. He had taken it fine a couple of time before this, but we had a bad spot at it and couldnt jump it right. Don't worry he was fine and we lowered the fence for him to finish over.

  • Thats REALLy dangerous to put the poles in the fence!

  • Because THATS safe... Lets throw lawn chairs and poles together to make a jump. Really, think of the horse's safety first and your own experiments second.

  • ok not the greatest fence ever, but you do need to get inventive sometimes when you can't spend thousands on jumps- whoever suggested feed buckets is brilliant. you can also wrap jump cups around a fence so the pole can still roll but you dont have to pay for a standard.

and haven't well all done something dumb at one point or another?

i would suggest using boots or polos- polos would have protected his legs from scratches and absorbed some of the impact.

  • so stupid. seriously dont deserve to have a horse if you are going to do dangerous crap like that.

  • Cool brah. Its Neat how you put poles through a fence. I like how you sprused up the place with a plastic chair. Nice touch , Good job.

    Dumbass.

  • i am glad he is okay! that looked like it hurt! he looked like he was going to jump then the last minute he decided not to! glad he is okay

  • that scared the crap out of me!!!! XD

  • Thats why ya dont use a plastic bench... but hey i used use feed buckets.

  • yea because thts a real oxer..............lawn chairs and beatup poles ok sure...

  • The horse isn't lazy, YOU are for not using your brain to make a real jump. You're lucky he didn't really hurt himself.

  • wow.... ever heard of actually paying a little money for a REAL jump!? hmmm looks like someone shouldnt have a horse of their own...

  • stupid, stupid people!!!! never, ever put a pole in a fence!! i have heard of horses breaking legs doing that!!
