@TomcatJones Radio 1 has amazing music most of the time. I have a stunner of a playlist at the moment so if you need some example of current music far superior to older stuff i am your man. I spent ages searching for amazing music no one has heard of.

if you are listening to the radio.. you are being spoonfed their crap like he said. you won't find any good there.

@digiphonic I think the amount of good music is the same, it's just that less good music gets signed and put out by record labels anymore, as catchy sells better than good. There used to be music that was catchy AND good, but money-makers realized that people will listen to catchy even if it sucks shit, so why bother putting extra effort into making it good? We're capable of great things, especially in this day and age. But it's a shame that commercialism overpowers true creativity.

@jwasko11 I totally understand where your coming from, but if you take the Grammy awards for instance, many of the artists who performed or won yet alone were nominated for awards were mainly the cookie cutter pop stars/ or the typical shit on the radio today. Although there are still good bands like this one, or Zac Brown Band today, they are less popular. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion about music so I seriously think you need to calm your shit bro. That's all.

I miss Picaresque.
We have amazing music, you jackass. Every generation does. Early 90's had shitty music to go with the bad, along with the 60's, 70's, 80's and every goddamn decade and century in history. To hell with you people who praise these bands as some kind of prodigy amongst a generation full of bad music. It's not true, we have fucking absolutely amazing music, just learn to sift through the bullshit on the radio and actually listen. Music never stops being good. Fuck you and your stupid ass comment.

@jwasko11 Although you make a good point, I have to disagree to an extent. while there is definitly still good music to be found, but there is a lot more of the rubbish than in the past. Even when you look back to the "cheesy rubbish" of past generations, it still had more musical credability than the recycled tripe thats spoon fed to the general population now.
