TSA's "Security Theater" is Going on the Road

John W. Whitehead Rutherford Institute joins Thom Hartmann. If you thought your interaction with the TSA was over once you left the airport this weekend - think again! The TSA is expanding it's operations - so what does that mean for our privacy?? TSA Security teams are now roaming the country setting up shop at other transportation depots besides airports. Over 9,300 unannounced checkpoints were set up this year at places like train stations, subways, ferries, and other mass transit hubs - costing taxpayers 110 million bucks. So far - there's no proof that the random checkpoints are working to prevent any sort of terrorist attack - yet the TSA is asking for more money - to do even more random checkpoints across the nation. So why is the TSA trampling on the rights of Americans to be presumed innocent for just wanting to get on a bus, train, or plane?

USA citizens should fight against this intrusion. Terrible and against the U.S. Constitution. President Obama is a large disappointment to me. We need another party for the people not the Republicans or the Democrats. I do not like Ron Paul. We need a Party for the People. Marshal Law seems to be crawling into our everyday life. TSA is a Chertoff business that need to be stopped and we need to fight against this because we have little freedom now.

I blame the soccer moms and dads for most of this. They hate politics so much that they'll run screaming from the room should someone dare even start a conversation about what's going on in the real world.

So they are so ill-informed that they believe everything the TV/government tells them.

Forget the fact that more Americans drown in their own bathtubs every year than die as a result of terrorism; JUST DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO TO MAKE MY FAMILY SAFE!
