Went to see him live last year in the Academy in Glasgow, played all his old tracks and I could have cried with joy! But what a major disappointment this shit is

I have no problem with the more experimental nature of waking the nation and 22 dreams, i like the sound, but I dont understand the critical attention they got - creatively they may have been a success but in terms of memorable songs they were distinctly low par. to me anyway. this sounds a bit more tuneful not really very.. memorable at all

@kaz3010 Hes not going to give you what you want. Hes an artist like all he rest. Experimentation keeps him going. You just gotta hope what he puts down will fit your style. Its what makes hime happy that matters, thats what makes the final cut. Know what i mean. Otherwise you'd be writing it yourself with paul weller loops. sorry.

@dan32113 Actually, I'm not a big lover of Town Called Malice, btw when you write a song name, don't just capitalise the first word.

What makes you such an expert, or are you just going by the critics reviews? I appreciate what he was trying to do, and for what it is, its good, I just don't like it. I love Paul Weller, I collect Weller stuff, but that doesn't mean I have to love everything he does. Get a fucking grip, I have my opinion, you have yours

@drsnape07 good point, I mean look how the Beatles sound evolved in even a couple of yrs. Some Weller fans just want the Jam, they even slate the Style Council, which I thought was brilliant. You"re correct, some people never move on. Paul is pushing himself, & its great to hear...
