I totally agree with you. I'd love to see Violent J and Shaggy admit that their music influences some people.

I'm guessing ICP and the Juggalo community are just new targets. In the past I've seen the media blame gangsta rap, video games, movies, Marilyn Manson and "goth kids". The media always wants to find a new juicy story and they will always twist it so it sounds more "interesting".

I've heard juggalos call themselves a family, but shaggy and violent J said it themselves, they are there to put on a show, they are entertainers with face paint on. In all reality, they don't care about you, or me, or anybody else as long as they get there money. It turns into religion rather than relationship. "Maybe if I do this, ICP will acknowledge me at there next concert." Just kind of a quick thought from my point of view.
