Flash mob at Copenhagen Central Station. Copenhagen Phil playing Ravel's Bolero.

As one of the first professional symphony orchestras ever Copenhagen Phil (Sjællands Symfoniorkester) did a flash mob at Copenhagen Central Station on May 2nd 2011 playing Ravel's Bolero. Conductor is Jesper Nordin.

I'm sure these were the guys who played 'Morning' (Peer Gynt) on the Metro. So I have them to blame for my addiction to classical flashmob vids.

I LOVE it that they fled the scene directly. Imagine trying to explain to your family what they had just missed: "No, no, really. There was a full orchestra. They even had a set of kettle drums. They were playing that music from Dancing on Ice".

They'd strap me to a gurney.

They heard classics all year long while playing chess in my classroom, but about the Bolero, as one voice, they suggested listening to it was like watching paint dry. Besides, I am a chickenchaser . . .soooo what do I know.

Yes, but I have my Twitter feed to thank. I wrote it in real time, and it helped. A lot. Trauma Clinics now recommend my Twitter feed instead of placebos.
