Actually it keeps my CPU at 23-26c when I leave it alone for a while, actually average of 25c even when in use, all depends of room temp and usually the fan stays off because the cpu never has a chance to heat up, full load is 33c at the most and its overclocked, I rest my case. BTW my air conditioner doesn't work right now either, so its that good.

I keep on hitting my finger on the copper things and I cut myself a few times.

did you install a lawnmower in your pc?
-
@Ladigj It works fine for me ;) 37-40C idle and 55-60C heavy load (never beyond 61C since this upgrade) and ambient is around 30-33C
Im using a AMD X4 955 without "cool n quiet" enabled and ddr3-1600 Memory

@Ladigj I'm a bit late, but yes it will. I have the 955 and this heat sink in a Antec 900, all on a Ga-ma790xt-ud4p. With the chip at stock clocks and voltage my maximum load temps are 48c at low fan and 45c on high fan. I undervolted to 1.225V and it is now 5-6c degrees colder for both.
I'm happy with it.

@187Homie187 LOL you bought AMD
hey matrix did it decrease the temp and keep your cpu at a lower temp? just wondering cause im getting one my cpu temp goes to 85 and i use the heatsink it comes with.

I do not have accurate before/after temperatures on this particular machine, because it has one of the defective Brisbane temperature sensors.
If your CPU temperature goes to 85°C, you have a problem. You should reapply thermal greasing.
