Pls Pls PLEASE explain WHY you can suddenly use what looks like an activated ability with a Split second spell on the stack, don't just say "so you can flip it up, beating split second and rah rah rah".
Morph is a Game Action, not a Activated ability. Triggered abilities aren't stopped by Split Second.

@SoulL0bster you can unmorph even when splitsecond on the stack. Thats the tip. Not much, but it can save things sometimes. Will bender is splitsecond single target's worse enemy.

I really hate playing on the internet can we please just have a magic the gathering house in every town governent funded which just is open at all times.. (yea right that'd be great tho..)

I have been confused about WHEN you can play Split Second. My friend says it can ONLY be played in responds to a card (on the stack). Is it possible to play a card with split second by itself, without needing it to be on the stack?

hey where can i get this game? i have a demo which says 9th edition, but it only lets me play 2 colours default decks(no 1,3,4,5 colour decks and no personalize capability) and id like to have the full game

@Mikemillering1 mana abilities (or mana sources) are abilities that produce mana, not use them. those are activated abilities.

Everyone else is right; morph doesn't use the stack, it's considered a mana ability

Split Second only stops players from playing Spells and (nonMana) Activated ability.
The Turning of a face-down Creature face-up is a Special Action; Split Second does not Stop you from taking the action.
