Dinotopia: The Fantastical Art of James Gurney- clip 1

Clip from the video I created for Norman Rockwell Museum's 2006 exhibition "Dinotopia: The Fantastical Art of James Gurney." Here, Mr. Gurney talks about working on his next book, and about the inspiration and companionship he receives from his pet parakeet (who makes a special guest appearance). Can you imagine a dinosaur inspired by this little bird?

James Gurney is the creator and illustrator for the highly successful Dinotopia book series about a forgotten land where humans and dinosaurs live peacefully together. He is currently at work on the next installment in the series to be titled "Dinotopia: Journey to Chandara."

The exhibition (and video) "Dinotopia: The Fantastical Art of James Gurney" is planned to travel to other museum locations throughout the country in the next year.

@euskadi71 Yeah, that thought has always bugged me too. I know a few other painters who keep doves and budgies and that's the only thing I can think of whenever I look at their pets perching on the canvases. But it would be really weird to ask them about it so I just keep my mouth shut.
