The Redemption virus asks the user whether or not he wants the virus to infect files in various directories. In addition to this, it changes the desktop on October 29th. This virus was likely one of the first written by a member of the virus writing group 29A, as it displays the "Hello World!" text when it is run. Hello World is one of the most common phrases a new programmer learns how to display.
