This is a great criticism of modern religions or institutions, and largely I agree. Parody is an effective tool to fight irrational belief, but clearly once made concrete is open to the same abuse/uses that a church might be. The question is, how do we fight irrationality effectively, so that peaceful theists and non-theists can co-exist? I am not sure there are many good answers, so for now FSM is my tool.
