@Blitzbok you dont rate burger?he is the best forward for you guys since maybe the 1956 boks who came to nz..yes you do have a number of capable players,but the problem with the boks is that they lack that desire to win in the crucial games,particularly in the later stages of a game where they just dont have that killer instinct to be able to lift another gear.i like britz,but comparing him to spencer is like comparing gary teichman to zin zan-theres no comparison,both players are far better.

@fiveofiveo1 Du Preez trumps Joost as best ever. Os is the best loosehead of all time. Matfield greatest 5. Monty, Frans, Fourie, Hougaard, Habana, Paulse, Tsimba, Juries, Mapoe, Basson, van den Heever, Small, A.Joubert, M.Joubert, Snyman are only some of the players that tick all the boxes for you. You underestimate SA talent and are clearly not familiar with them. Britz unfortunately was only useful in very open games against lesser quality opposition, much like Carlos Spencer.

@Blitzbok we are definately not going to agree on this matter,but thats ok,you have your opinion and i have mine.As a kiwi,we like players with skill,flare and physical presence,like jerry collins,ma'a,kaino,and one of my personal favourites sione lauaki,who was always a handful when he played in the super 14/all blacks etc...aside from schalk britz,the two best players to ever come out of south africa (in my opinion)is schalk burger,and joost van der westhuizen.

No, Bissie os not even close to being a form hooker, much less the best hooker in South Africa. Chiliboy repeatedly outplayed Bissie last year anyway. Your assessment on Britz is laughable. At best a fat wing out of his depth at hooker; he cannot impact any meaningful game as a hooker should. Smit has contributed more to the Boks than any other player.

@fiveofiveo1 Bissie was never in-form. It was simply another case of Peter following public opinion, which is never a good thing for a coach. Bismarck was very poor in the 09 and 10 S14, and very poor for the Boks in most tests. Despite being lauded for his breakdown abilty he only notched 3 turnovers between 2009 and the 2010 TNs! He is the worst for discpline and fails to pitch up in bi games where the Boks are not dominating. Average scrummager, poor hands, upright in the tackle

@Blitzbok smit even gets moved to prop when an inform hooker in bizmarc starts at hooker.So in other words the powers that be believe smit is the best choice to fill the prop position?There are loads of props in s.a that shit on smit,but dont get picked because of politics.As for schalk britz,ask anyone who knows a real quality player and they will tell you britz is head and shoulders a better player than smit.South africans will be happy that smit is finally gone.
