Honestly ; coca leaves were and is actually used as a herbal strength preserver for both men and women , muscle strengthening for athletes and mountain field workers and it is useful for calming the mind in times of high stress situations.
It was never meant to be use or sold as cocaine as some would be believe. But the guerillas and communist makes money out of it by selling to the americans.
I love coca leaves tea , its refreshing and highly tonifying for the body and mind.

Coca leaves have always been chewed by Andean peoples. Its has about as much ''punch' as a cup of good coffee.
Whose fault is it that gringos took the leaf added a bunch of synthetic chemicals and made cocaine to abuse?
When has anyone seen the leaf chewer or tea drinker go rob a liquor store?

QUESTION, my family if peruvian but my mom chews the leaf in USA, is it illegal? is the coca leaf a drug? what does the leaf do?

All drugs should be legalized.
Drugs aren´t poisons that control their users, they are just substances that can be used to control mood. Responsible use means awareness of this simple principle and not giving up one´s live by claiming to "be controlled BY a substance/habit/etc."
Regarding those crack smokers who lost interest: If you let people do crack legally, they become aware of their ability to control that substance freely and that is the key of quitting. Same with MJ in Holland.

@gj75845 you cant stop it sir its alreayd dig its self way in our skin so no sense trying tos top it in canada theres a center that lets people do crack and 40-60 of people who go their end up quiting because they let them do it

So what happened? Was it criminalized?
-
@UJB123 That still dosent eliminate the fact that many coca farmers sell their products to ppl who then produces cocaine.
Im not gonna argue wether coca is good or bad, but there should for sure be some kind of legal observation on the coca farmers, in order to prevent cocaine production

@MDIS The guerillas and the cartels are not the same thing. The guerillas work with the cartels to make money to buy weapons. Paramilitaries have also worked with the cartels.
Thanx!
