WNBA FIGHT: Diana Taurasi + Penny Taylor vs. Cappie Pondexter

A little background for those of you who don't follow the WNBA: Up until this past 2010 WNBA season, Pondexter was on the Phoenix Mercury alongside Diana Taurasi and Penny Taylor. Deemed the "Big Three" of Phoenix, the trio won championships together in 2007 and 2009. However, fresh off winning their second title during the offseason before the 2010 season, Pondexter demanded to be traded and was sent to the Liberty. Meanwhile, the Mercury acquired Candice Dupree. This video takes place during the 2010 season and was the only game of the season pitting Pondexter against her former teammates. The pregame actually included a championship ring presentation and Pondexter was met with a warm welcome upon returning to Phoenix. That, however, changed after this incident (July 3, 2010). Though Taurasi, Pondexter, and Taylor have always claimed to be friends, this scuffle probably indicates that there may have been more to Pondexter leaving the team than she claimed.

Pondexter was ejected from the game, but no further action was taken by the WNBA.
