http://craigfarraway.com This brew is a spin-off of my "Phat Brown Ale" that I did a while ago. It is a partial extract recipe with two types of grains, malt extract, and hops donated by immolateus. I used a Wyeast "smack pack" hop donated by Paul, who you may remember came to Canada for a visit. My special guest in this video is immolateus via Skype.

  • so what happens to the beer if u pitch the yeast when the wort is too hot?

  • @theoriginaldrytoast You may end up with bad flavours, or even kill your yeast.

  • Craig, luv the video and I have made my first Coopers lager. It is conditioning and I am about to start a Coopers Draught. I was wondering if I could put a teaspoon of priming sugar in each bottle vs the drops. I found that the drops stuck to the bottom of the bottles. Any suggestions? Thanks and Cheers

  • @mmp185 The drops do stick to the bottom, but I've found that they dissolve and a quick upturn after a few hours is all you need. But yes, you can use dextrose instead. A teaspoon will be perfect.

    if you use water from your tap fill a gallon bottle and put it in the fridge or freezer before brew day you dont want it frozen just chilled help u get ur temp down if slightly high and you have a warm summer tap water
