Evidently it's water cooled.

In 1936 my dad,15 yo, accompanied his uncle to Manchester. They walked past the Fairey factory, the gate was open. A futuristic aircraft was sitting outside. Both went in & inspected & touched it. A security guard emerged telling them it was secret & they would be in trouble. Uncle Bob replied if it was a secret why was it sitting in the open. The guard grumbled & sent them on their way. Dad later saw the Fulmar in action in the Mediterranean & believes it was the same aeroplane type

Its going to be at least 72" Span and will help hiding the engine head. If luck goes OK,I'll put it on here.

@BasicModelling I see, what are the last two Spit's? Maybe I'll do the Fairey month by myself in April then :) :)
Enjoyed every bit of it. I'm building an R/C Fulmar. It has great moments and should fly gracefully. Thanks!!!

Good to see another Fulmar video. Thanks for posting it. You may be interested to see a video of the last remaining Merlin VIII engine (from a Fulmar Mk1) running on this website. Search for "Merlin VIII" . This engine came from Fulmar N1926 that crashed in Dec 1940. The engine has been restored over a 10 yr period to ground running condition. (One tiny comment; the photo at 2:40 in your montage is of a Firefly).
