  • I know this is a bit old, but... why in the world a -5/20 on the shield? Get a good set of +10 AR vs. X Damage shields and choose which one to use based on your enemies team build... maybe get a -2/Stance with +45hp/Stance too if you run stances on your monk (IE not in GvG) and a -2/Ench with +45hp/Ench for Guardian... and a -3/Hexed with +60hp/Hexed when you are up against hex-heavy teams... otherwise, helpful guide...

  • ye i forgot to show shield vs all dmgs

    sry i didnt double check

  • Ou ye, cant wait for GW 2, azura POW!!! btw adept tormented protection staff of enchanting is just cool looking, keep it up!

  • Flute Tune <3!

  • Cool video, you should make another one.

  • Hey Darkegg11.......can you make a lesson 2 please.....it would be soo cool make it about Skills and attributes attributes or something..........

  • I'm also worried about you usage of q9 tactics shields. If you're diverting attribute points to support the full 16AL of a q9/16 shield, your prot/heal/DF atts suffer accordingly. If you're not...8AL isn't enough.

The most effective, though expensive option, is to utilize a complete set of q7 tactics shields (as a stance monk) to take full advantage of the 15AL bonus.

All this talk about AL is important in the current quick-spiking guildwars meta.

  • A number of issues with your "pro-ness"

High end PVP monks never use the "Luck of the Draw" inscription. Point per point over time has proven 10AL vs "x" shields to prevent more damage than the random nature of a -5/20%.

Armor wise, don't use a mix of survivors and radiants. You mention having HP to avoid being spiked out; the +15AL on a full set of armor with Disciples insignias, stacked with the shield AL bonus, will do much more towards preventing spikes and general damage.

  • well yeah, -5^20 suxx a lot, having +10vsX is essential.

  • getting the lowest attr rarely bears any value, since whether you have 14 or more attr of it or u dont have it at all.

ofc there's lots of exceptions, but the whole truth is that getting low attr weap is just for showing off, like rare skins and pets etc

it kind of pisses me off when some1 wielding q9 heal staff says that q11 suxx. the hell, like he would have less than 14 heal pr.

  • well its not only for monk its for all professions

get as lowest Q as you can for atributtes your using.

since you are not using martial weapon as dmg weapon as monk you can have high Q

  • would u mind telling me the difference between q9 and q13 for Mo?
