The 24th Genesis Awards 2010 - behind the scenes with Reel Dogs

In 2009, I was contacted by the Humane Society of the United States to create a tribute to movie dogs to be shown at the 24th annual Genesis Awards. I attended the awards on March 20th at The Beverly Hilton and shot some behind the scenes video and photos. The book, Wonder Dogs, was featured in the Genesis celebrity gift bags, and all 850-odd guests took home a Wonder Dogs bookmark in their bags.

This video features a few of the dozens of stars at the awards, including Ginnifer Goodwin, Kristen Bell, Jennifer Taylor, Emily Deschanel, Moby, Pauley Perrette, Charlotte Ross, and Nubs, canine hero of the book Nubs: The True Story of a Mutt, a Marine & a Miracle, with handler, Major Brian Dennis.

The Genesis Awards will be shown on Animal Planet on April 24th and 25th, 2010, and the HSUS also offers the show on DVD for sale on their website once production on the DVD is complete.
