Activision - SDI (Amiga)

This arcade conversion was quite popular in the early days of the Amiga and it showcases the machine's strengths quite well. Besides the great music track, the later levels have a lot of smooth-scrolling action. It also makes full use of the mouse which was an exotic peripheral back then.

Unfortunately, the gameplay is a bit too easy for a shoot-em-up. I intentionally let a few missiles through in this video so as to show the defence phase, but otherwise it's not much challenge to score perfect on all the early levels.

Nice one!! This was one of those "must get round to playing this" games that I never really got round to playing. I'd go to a copy party , add fifty + plus games to my ever growing collection and never get round to playing 90% of them. Why did I bother eh? lol. :)
