why are people looking up this video and a good few other Randy Newman videos then complaining or misinterpreting the meaning of the song its Randy Newman if you were a fan of his you would understand his writing style its not racist its telling a story of how a certain type of person thinks depending on the song, he's not Elton John singing little pointless love songs he's trying to get a message across.

the most daring songwriter of the last century. brilliant and often misunderstood. Stephen King writes about murder and no one thinks he's a murderer. Randy writes about racism and people assume he's racist. he's anti-racist.

Definitely one of Newman's most energetic and emotional live performances. This is great great stuff and the lyrics are a look into the mind of somebody we all know but never truly meet.
