Now count every tap heard i this video

Remember he was not such a young man when he made this particular film which ought to remind those whove never seen him just how fantastic a dancer he was at his best! One of the very few people who danced even when they were only walking!

I'm really not into dancing, I'm not interested, and the only person that I really enjoy watching him dance is Fred Astaire. He really makes me wanna learn tap dancing.

My dear ol Dad always sang the praises of Fred Astaire
What I see is: The thing about Fred Astaire is that he was amazing, fluid and light on his feat, there are a few dancers with as much talent as Fred e.g. Gregory Hines (Brilliant strong dancer) but Astaire's talent was to entertain as he danced, he loved it and you knew it.
Other dancers could hammer something out and it would look good, but Fred had the balance through and through. Just a matter of choice
But damn he was light on his feet.

two of my favourite actors from back in the day fred and red skelton!!!

@FAfan06 personally I think that is a cop out. Even Gregory Hines said that MJ was not the caliber of dancer of Astaire, the Nicholas Brothers, Kelly etc.

i enjoy watching the many influences of Michael Jackson so of course i enjoyed this. dance a little bit too. you should see the video i posted earlier. i may not be MJ or FA but its all about havin fun at the end of the day. please comment on the video. :)

Actually, Michael danced and sang through his 40's (History Tour) and also performed in his 30th anniversary concert in NYC (MSG) ..reunion with his brothers. He didn't perform like that until he came back to rehearse ( after the trial and his departure to middle east.)..And he was very nervous about performing 50 concerts...and lost much weight. If one is a singer/dancer, pianist, etc., it is especially difficult to return to the stage after so many years of NOT performing.

@FAfan06 You're so right dude! MJ even copied some small little dance steps from FA for "Smooth Criminal" ;)

MJ was amazing ... but you fanbois need to understand ... alot of the color movies ur watching with Fred dancing are from the mid 40's and early 50's ...he was born in 1899 ...by the time Mike was this age he wasn't that great of a dancer anymore ... Warp 50 year old Mike back in time to meet 50 Year old Fred Astaire ...and Fred would have danced circles around him heh. 20/30 year old mike ? sure he's the best but over all Fred's a freak if u actually THINK about it haha
personally i think that both FA and MJ would be real upset you were arguing about them they both had different dance styles and MJ was a fan of FA
