On 2009.12.01 I attended a book forum at http://cato.org to hear Tom Palmer speaking about his book "Realizing Freedom: Libertarian History, Theory, and Practice." This video showcases a few of questions posed to Palmer and commenter Tyler Cowen about threats to liberty, Agorism and the future of the libertarian movement.

@dubified89 I agree with him about immigration and right wing tendencies being bad but he's mixing real stuff with it like the super highway thing. How was that false?

it's a tough call as a minarchist, but agorism as a strategy has been useful in certain cases (prohibition comes to mind) and I think there may be value in it as a strategy.

@zgochenour I also got the feeling he didn't really know much about Agorism, his answer was an educated guess based on the summary description provided by the audience member.
I'm really curious to hear any scholarly look at Agorism or quantifiable methods of Counter-Economics, after Konkin it seems we're left with figuring it out for ourselves, unless I missed something other than drug-dealing and tax evasion and the like.

Very good question. I don't really agree with Palmer's response; I think he underestimates the effectiveness of civil disobedience in influencing change. I was hoping Cowen would respond.
