@DeeTrumpet Never mind, I found it easily, from the cast info in your other YouTube scenes from the same film. It's titled 'Bizet's Carmen,' 1984, directed by Francesco Rosi.
(Netflix says it's directed by Núria Espert, but I think Netflix is mistaken; perhaps she was the operatic director on the film while Rosi was the cinema director.)

Bizet was a genius alright, but the thing that has always amazed me is that he was a Basque from the French part of Basqueland, lived all his adult life in Paris, and never once set foot in Spain! How the hell did he write an Opera which is the Spanish Soul made large?
