...How the hell does Gallant know that the finger came from a blonde? Does it have beautiful blond hairs on its knuckles? For that matter, couldn't he have cut a finger off one of the rogue mages and been done with it?

LOL @ the "you feel you are being watched" message. That's more appropriate than anyone who made that game at that time would know.

mark and recall is a life saver for deep dungeons...

...but honestly I've never used it :P

@JohnZoidberg1417 Tell me about it. Last time I played, I searched for some bandit in a huge dungeon for maybe an hour or two. Nothing but rats and bats and then BAM! Vampire ancient. I was level 2 by the way.
