I really miss going to see Maynard and his band in concert. You always knew you were going to see a great concert. Great music, great musicians, great arrangements. Always exciting. Besides being a great musician, he was a great guy. Funny and down to earth. No false B.S. I got to meet him after a concert and have my picture taken with him. Great guy. A class act and real showman. I always wondered how the hell he toured 9 months out of the year every year. That schedule will kill you. Devotion

Those were the days! Buddy Rich also played at Montreal this year, one of his truly greatest and best documented concerts, musically and sound-wise
