Interview with Kathleen S.; Oklahoma Street Prostitute

This is an edited portion of an interview conducted by Brian Bates, aka the Video Vigilante, and founder of JohnTV.com. Kathleen is only 38 years old but the streets make her appear at least 60. She has had and given up 6 children during her life. Kathleen's only dream is to one day get off the streets, kick the drugs and be a wife and mother. When this interview was posted Kathleeen was currently incarcerated in Oklahoma for prostitution, assault and battery of a police officer and attempted escape.

I know Kathleen, have for many years. I think of her often and always wish there was something I could do for her. I was once in a place where she is. If I could only explain how much my life has changed - I have been reunited with all my children, married a wonderful man, bought my first home, most of all I have been sober for 7 years. My heart bleeds for her -she is really an awesome women with the strength no one can understand uleass you have walked in her shoes. May God bless her/keep her.

They have to want help & be willing to work hard.both my parents were smack heads, I grew up watching them stick needles in their arms, stealing from family members, my mother turned trix for drug money, grew up sleeping in cheap hotels & in cars. I dont speak to my parents, I have been married 12yrs & have 3 kids. I have never committed a crime or do drugs. I use my childhood as a guide of what NOT 2 do.

you choose to lay with filthy people take hard drugs and then when your older you face your choices

It's a long walk down a lonesome highway full of fools and long lost souls

this is so sad poor woman just wants a normal life and all the people think its so easy to leave this life but its not .they think oh go get a job bla bla.what they dont realise is she probably couldnt get a job anyhow then also she doesnt get social security so how does she survive then .now if someone gave her a job and a little rehab and social studio to live in;she would probably stop so all you people out there who make bad comments you dont know shit
