also people learn/do salsa tango all over the world but they never say 'Arabic' salsa or indian salsa or south african salsa because salsa is simply a latino type of dance. the same thing applys to dabka...you cnt just say its an israeli thing!!

Sorry, you are not right! There exist since a lot of years origin especially Israeli Dances, choreographed by Israeli Choreographers to different music, Jewish, Hebrew Songs, Psalms, sung by Israeli Singers and also to music and songs of other countries which are popular in Israel. But the steps an figures of the Dances are origin Israeli: Hora, Debka, Maagal, Lines.

I am sorry, you're not right! There exist a lot of Debkas choreographed by Israeli Choreographers, they aren't arabic, because the steps and figures are created by Israelis (Jews) like Moshe Eskayo, Shmulik Gov-Ari, Gadi Biton a.o. These Debkas aren't old traditional arabic Debkas but Israeli Dances.

    - bullshit! The Debka is a Middle-Eastern Dance, not only a Palaestinian! It's also danced in Israel, Iraq, Libanon, Marocco and others...

This Dance is created to an Hebrew Song by an Israeli Choreographer!

Very beautiful Israeli Debka! Not only Arabs/Muslims dance Debkas! It's a Dance in countries of the Middle East - including Israel! And by the way - Debkas are popular all over in the world, especially the Israeli Dancegroups worldwide like to dance it very much!

Nobody claimed Debka is Israeli. A Spanish can dance Debka so can a Chinese person, it's not Jewish,I don't even like the dance we have much better dances that are ours like Horah,Temani,Atary,Klezmer, Mizrahi which is much nicer :D

well debka or dabra is an arabic word for that type of dance in plestine, syria lebbanon and jordan...ther is an iraqi version of it an is called chobi and there is a kurdish version called halparka. so every culture or country has its won version of debka....but those israeli dancers r really pathetic, they cant even do it properly. and if israel wants to make her own version of debka it should be distinctive from others and if not then its called stealing
