Brassland is 10. For our anniversary, we're giving away a song-a-day all month. Download them at http://brassland.org/giveaway or at http://facebook.com/brassland
In honor of a decade of creative destruction, we have also made a modest little film to commemorate the occasion. The song is "Turn 13" by Clogs which can be purchased at http://clogs.bandcamp.com
Directed by Keven McAlester (http://ghostrobot.com/directors/keven-mcalester)
Brassland is and artist-operated label started in 2001 by Alec Hanley Bemis and twin brothers Aaron and Bryce Dessner. We began with a pair of debuts by Clogs & The National, but our goal was to develop a community of creative folk, and the family has grown to include work by Nico Muhly, Buke & Gass, and Doveman among others.
