    Well, it depends on how we define "progressive." I'd say this is relatively one of the most important and influential guitar compositions. Listen to Bartok's string quartets, then listen to this again. Fripp single-handedly invented math rock with this track, and I don't think heavy metal would be the same today without him. He sort of set a precedent of high-gain guitar in 20th-century classical's odd time signatures playing weird intervals. You can hear the devil's tritone in this one.
