Doug Binks, Intel Senior Applications Engineer, presents at SIGGRAPH on the SIMD Programming Instructions for Larrabee.  Part Two of this video is found at: http://bit.ly/lrbpart2. This short, focused, technical session presents some of the key features of Larrabee New Instructions with particular emphasis on their utility in graphics applications. The material is aimed at developers already familiar, but not necessarily expert, with SIMD programming and C++.  For more information, visit www.intel.com/software/graphics.

  • With DX 11 CPU and GPU will shared some of the graphic thread, which means larrabee will increase it to the next level. While, 8th generation gaming is just around the corner!

  • Ray tracing and fully programmable cores are great and all, but come on...If this is meant to be a performance discrete graphics card, I want some real world game demos and comparisons.

Meanwhile AMD's Radeon 5870 demo rapes the shit out of everthing, and Nvidia's next gen GPU is still late to the show.
