Datsun 240Z Dyno Run

Datsun 240Z with 383 stroker motor at the 2005 Motorsport Auto Z Car West Coast Nationals. This was a 1/4 mile run test. We didn't catch the time unfortunately, but it was fast!

I was wondering why the guy just took off like a bat outa hell! lol  Then I read the description. I havnt ever heard of doing a 1/4 mile run on a dyno. Seems pretty inaccurate to me.

@tylermonroe13 Certainly it's not that accurate, but for those signing up for the dyno at a show, once they have run the normal dyno test and get their horsepower and torque report, most enjoy one or two 1/4 mile runs. While not overly accurate, it sure is fun.

@tylermonroe13 yeah it's like doing a 100m sprint on a treadmill, the dynamics are completely different

@tylermonroe13 I see. Well I can't say I'd turn down the chance to run it through the gears either! It does look like a lot of fun.
