Dude you should care less if a cashier speaks to you. Just pay for your shit and go. Some women put up with assholes all day. Managers don't want to let them take there breaks and lunches on time. Sometimes they might need someone to speak to them and brighten up there day. You sound like you might be attracted to some of these cashiers and bartenders. If you're just start a lil small talk with them and see how it goes. Dude it's not you it's everybody that walks through that line.

lol this links to trouble dating other races as a black guy, the female treatment. Think this is ridiculous but its probably true that they would rather not take a risk being nice because they probbaly think a black guy would grab any woman just by getting some common respect, they are probably paranoid, that or both they dont like black people and theyre racist. but thats just the way i see it since i get alot more racism from females but dont take it the wrong way its just a thought

I think this happens b/c people don't complain. I complain. I don't care if she's got 5 kids to feed at home. If they are important then act like you want your damn job. Feel me? Also people no longer leave their problems at the door. They bring them right into work. There's no maturity nor professionalism. What's the saying "it's not personal..it's business" When you at work..be at work!

it's not you dude...some people are just bitter and angry. I was a cashier in JCPenney's and I liked my job. When I was friendly or helpful to people, my colleagues told me "don't be helping these people and blah blah blah" It was my first job working in retail. I expected to be cursed out and have horrible customers. It never happened to me. I think b/c of my attitude.

You're Black.....and the white folks are just remindnig you of that fact. No worries....happens from time to time.......especially dealing with poor white people who see an influx of extremely primitive negroes all day long in dollar general and places like that. Don't speak to them an then it's even and okay. You know what I'm trying to say....etc.

What do you mean you're "testing" people? Sounds to me like you WANT some drama to go down. I'm pretty sure it's not EVERYone. Maybe you need to take a look at yourself.

It doesn't happen to me. The people are nice tome when I go into a store and I'm nice to them back. I dont know what to tell you I mean maybe it's your energy or your aura. Maybe they can sense something about you that rubs them the wrong way or something I dont know. Try asking them why are you being rude to me and you'll get your answer.
