Okay -- subjectivity of musical tastes aside -- one of the things that always strikes me about TDN recordings (in addition to the strength of the material) is the production quality. Richard Polodor has amazing, if too few, credits as producer, including his other work with TDN and a couple albums with Steppenwolf. "Naturally" is a really, really well-crafted album...which contributes mightily to how well it holds up after more than four decades.

-the guys all had purple circles under their eyes from lack of sleep-I mean dead on their feet lookin', right? They STILL managed to play their entire show-gave the audience all they had-it was great! The sun was up when I left the building & the Dogs were still playing.

Three Dog Night was the opening band for the city arena-newly built in the late seventies-Fantastic group: even way back then. In the mid-eighties, 3DNight came back to my area-the band was hours late because of a vehicle breakdown. Three Dog Night finally got to the club at the time they were scheduled to LEAVE-they started playing around 3am-it was a fantastic experience-

Yeah, the good ole days in MACONGA...I took my oldest son to the Cherry Blossom Party one year, and we saw Three Dog Night...oh in the early ninetees for a small price. My son enjoyed the concert, and I got to see the band...missed the concert with my friends in Louisville, Kentucky in 1975 or thereabouts.
