@dairyking887 I have bad anxiety too, man. it's fucked with my mind my whole life. I've always thought that about Elliot too. I mean, when he died, he had anti-depressants in his system.

If by Sad Sack she means coolest mother fucker to ever live she's right but if she means anything else she should fuck off. If you get a chance to talk to Elliott Smith you don't waste it i'm pretty sure that's a sin

He has said that he writes when certain things happen, and I feel a lot of people do that, and Elliott's music got categorized into the "sad" genre, which I find very untrue. He was probably like the rest of us; he was a normal guy who struggled with some things, but in the end he will always be perceived as that sad guy who played at the Oscars, which is a shame. That's honestly not how he should be remembered.

I struggle with a clinical anxiety disorder. I think Elliot Smith did too. He's such a sweet, likable person. Why would this reporter use such a degrading term such as "sad sack" to describe him? She speaks in that ADD/narcissistic personality tone that radiates lack of empathy. RIP, Elliot. You were too sensitive for this world.

Wonder what the interviewer listens to that she thinks is so much better than Elliott Smith that she has to act like a child making patronizing comments about things her and her media friends have made up in their heads regarding Smith. Just listen to how easily and honestly he handles her... proves he isn't what she wanted to make him look like.
